Small Project Management – Young People

As part of Hull’s City of Culture year, Ali supported the Ferens’ Art Gallery young people’s group, Future Ferens, to create a symposium linked to the SKIN exhibition. Ali facilitated a series of workshops to help the young people plan the event. She coached them through, what was for many, their first public speaking event, and helped them to evaluate the project.

The event included a rare interview through a transatlantic Skype call with international artist Spencer Tunick, which helped to stimulate a lively debate.

I was surprised that I was able to gain the confidence within myself and knowledge to talk passionately about art in front of a large crowd, reinforcing my enjoyment of art and social event with like-minded people.
